Everything you need to know about our personalised labels, from materials to application tips.

Sizes and layout

This listing includes a range of popular label sizes. If custom sizes are available you will see them on the Custom tab. Please double check that the size you pick matches the flat area on your jar or packaging.

• Recommended resolution: 300 dpi

• Colour mode: CMYK

• Bleed: Add 2 mm if your background goes to the edge

• Safe zone: Keep important text at least 3 mm away from the edge

If you are unsure what size you need, have a look at our label measuring and design blogs. They walk you through everything in plain English and take the guesswork out of choosing the right size.

How personalisation works

You can personalise these labels with your own branding, product details, or design.

Upload your own artwork:

• Make sure the file matches the size you’re ordering

• Include bleed if your design goes to the edge

• I print your artwork exactly as supplied

If you’re ever unsure whether your artwork is ready to print, pop a note on your order and I’ll take a quick look.

Design tips

A few simple design tweaks can make a huge difference to how good your labels look in real life.

• Make sure your text and background have good contrast

• Avoid pale text on pale colours unless you want people squinting

• Keep body text at 6 pt or larger so it actually prints clearly

• Use clean, readable fonts for ingredients or instructions

• Give your logo and key details a bit of breathing room so they do not look squashed

If you are unsure whether something will print nicely, just ask. I would rather check it first than print something you are not happy with.
